The Saguaro (cactus) blooms in spring and its flower survives only 24 hours. In nature, it's common for natural beauty to have a short life and for youth to be synonymous of a thing of beauty. Through photography, Alejandro has frozen Angela's loveliness in time. Both created this editorial in the middle of an oasis that the desert offered them. The hot rock served as a support for the naked skin, the curves of her body stand out and it seems impossible to remain oblivious to her gaze.
Angela, How did you feel in front of Alejandro’s camera?
Being in front Alejandro’s camera feel effortless, he is such a great guy to work with. He is so talented and knows exactly what he’s doing so when we get together to create it’s a good feeling knowing we are bringing a creative vision to life.
When did you start modeling?
I started modeling about 3 years ago and it’s been a dream ever since.
"I would describe myself as authentic, outgoing, driven and charismatic."
What obsessions would you say you have?
Some obsessions I would say I have is definitely creating and searching for inspiration that hasn’t been done before, as well as being in nature, and always striving to become better than I was yesterday.
Have you ever experienced negativity on social media?
Personally I haven’t experienced too much negativity on social media, don’t get me wrong it’s definitely there. Although I choose to ignore it because no matter what everyone is going to have their own opinion that they feel is right and you can’t let other peoples opinions affect who you are.
What is your favorite city and why?
I don’t think I have a favorite city, I love constantly moving and experiencing new places but there really is no place like home.
Favorite animal?
My favorite animal would have to be a dolphin or a horse lol.
What is the most exciting thing that you have done?
I recently went on a work trip to the U.S. Virgin islands, to shoot out there. And it was so beautiful, I was so thankful to be in such a stunning place doing what I love and experiencing new cultures.
Have you ever been in love?
Yes, I have been in love and it taught me a lot about myself.
What is your favorite TV series?
My favorite Tv series would be “Jane the Virgin”, I love everything about it!. It was written so well, it make you feel like you’re right there with them. It never fails to make me laugh.
What would you like to change in this world?
This is a great question, there are so many things but a positive message I would like to spread is that it doesn’t matter where you come from, all things are possible if you work hard. It can be easy to fall in to temptation and take short cuts or do things that may seem easier to get to where you want to go, but just staying true and authentic to yourself will get you a whole lot further.
Who do you admire and why?
Honestly I have always been drawn to icons in the 50s-60s people I really look up to such as Marilyn Monroe, Lucille Ball and Audrey Hepburn. I look up to them because they are such strong females, I feel like there was so much originality and something so timeless about how they represented themselves. And that’s what I aspire to be.
